Drone Chiefs is based in Utrecht. That means we can be on site quickly for businesses, estate agents, developers and municipalities in the region, without extra travel costs. From an aerial photo of a business premises in Nieuwegein to a complete corporate video around the Dom tower: we handle the flight preparation, the filming and the editing. Utrecht is a city where you need to know what you're doing as a drone pilot. The city centre is densely built, there are lots of people around and there are helicopter landing sites at the hospitals. With our Operational Authorisation from the Dutch Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT), we also fly where a regular drone is not allowed. Can you just fly over Utrecht?
No. In a city like Utrecht the rules for flying near people and buildings apply. In the Open category, a heavier drone must for example keep 150 metres from residential, commercial and recreational areas. Most shoots in the city therefore require a flight in the Specific category, with a risk assessment and an operational authorisation.
For every flight we also check the geographical zones in LVNL's GoDrone app and arrange permission from the landowner for the take-off and landing site. You don't have to worry about any of it.
